Stuttering
Thursday 22 after a marathon binge ends with a group of friends in the filing of the reissue of "The Stuttering" Abelardo Sanchez Leon in Hotel Bolivar.
The night was propitious to see how Alfaguara relaunched in bookstores this sexagenarian Stuttering. Who curiously has risen to fame of blogs this past week by a misunderstood comment in his column of Commerce. Comments that served as food for the mouths of the pack insasiables "revolutionary" that allows no trace of bourgeoisie this or any other Stuttering.
Wrong or not, I appreciate this Stuttering. Your Journey of the Salmon and his Ballad of Lost Gol liked. I hope this book too.

The smell Chimbote
On Saturday I attended the launch of the novel "Heart Cry" written by Fernando Cueto chimbotana Yacana the bar. As always, I do not know what to expect and what the evening left me was a distinct smell to it entertained my mind Chimbote. The comments were
by Javier Garvich (Lima) and Oswaldo Reynoso (Arequipa) who wove an angry speech about the existence of a literature chimbotana they admired but was almost unknown to the rest of the country. Ignorance, as exponents, caused by the indifference of the media Lima and their preference for foreign securities. And the truth is that just take a look at the cultural segment mayorñia to realize that today's cultural news in Peru only occur in Lima or abroad.
For that reason, see the table of Yacana a literary movement away from Lima was a pleasant surprise (will go to confirm yal find). For while on my shelf now lie: "Avenue Indifference" Augusto Rubio, "Blumen" and "The Skin of Eden" by Patricia Colchado, "Art of Sailing" by Juan Ojeda, and "Llora Corazon" Fernando Cueto. These works of Chimbote people give me a better view of the literature of a city that until yesterday it smelled just like fish.
"Llora Corazon" (the excuse for that night chimbotana) narrates, as the pages I have read, the adventures of Caralinda (narrator of this apparent daily) who travels mainly Chimbote bohemian life with his friends Richard, alias scrum, and the poet Washington. A life that rides the brothels because as stated Fernando Cueto, true stories are told in the brothels.
This is a small excerpt from the book that boldly placed the interest of my readers:
- No She does this not to kiss on the mouth - screams from the door Ricardo input.
- The warning comes too late, Washington has already completed kiss the midget, and now is happy, licking his lips smeared with rouge.
- I told you at that not Birdbrain - he complains Ricardo.
- And what do you bug bitten you? - Speaking, trying to defend Washington.
- This dwarf is Mary Boquita, the specialist Blow - explains Ricardo.
- Blow Job? - Wonder.
- Yes, asshole, blowjob, blowjobs, fellatio - says Ricardo.
- haired, Latin fellatio, oral stimulation of the penis - the poet speaks of standing, leaning his hands on the table.
- Yes, nasty shit, and yet you are happy.
Chimbote This ends the book fair will be early next year as will a collection of letters chimbotana in the book "The Holy See."

literature "Tito" Flores Galindo's' Great articulator "
This Thursday at 7:00 pm was the tribute to historian Alberto Flores Galindo at the National Library by the Conference "The Cholo in Peru." The meeting began 10 minutes late (both mine and Juan Acevedo). The auditorium was marked by filled with experienced and young graying beard.
Frankly I do not know what to expect, excuse the ignorance but until Thursday 15 did not know who Alberto Flores Galindo. Your name replied in my memory but nothing better than knowing "Tito" by his friends, José María "Chema" Salcedo, Antonio Zapata, Juan Acevedo and Marfiel Francke.
"Chema" was the first to tell some stories. The most memorable was: one day they met in film "Le Paris" of the Beehive (a Gallic cinema in its infancy, now hollow horny fans of pornography). That day "Tito" left the cinema and "Chema" entered, the latter asked him: What about the movie? The only answer I got was a stunned Galindo: "I just saw the woman he'll marry me ". Some time later marry Cecilia Flores Rivera who played in the movie Aguirre, the Wrath of God . Which relates the issue of a lunatic Lope de Aguirre to the Peruvian jungle, with the aim of conquering El Dorado, the promised land of gold according to Indian beliefs.
also Antonio recounted the experiences he had with Galindo in his life as student at the Catholic University as a professor at the Free University in Villa El Salvador in the late 80's. The Free University was an area in which the few professionals working in Villa decided to offer classes without any restriction on the population of a newly born city. Apparently "Tito" was a man who sought to unite the fragmented world that is our country.
Furthermore, Marfiel (who came 20 minutes later) showed to "Tito" teacher, the passionate, someone who taught him to study the past to understand our present and to see the story from the point of the vanquished. At the time John said the vision for a "Tito integrator," he liked to talk to who was crossing. An intellectual book but from experience. Experiences reflected in his works, including (but I'm wrong) are: "The miners of Cerro de Pasco" and "The Search for Inca."
The evening was more enjoyable because I met a dreamer, an idealist, a historian who lived not to repeat history but to create new paths it will lead to a utopia (more needed). A person who was the plural of our identity. A man who hated the indifference to which we arrive on the political violence that began in the eighties (indifference in which I still submerged). An "organic intellectual" and "A great articulator" that was "Tito" to his friends. And is that knowing a person is known to friends and loved "Tito" which has had great friends.

The voices of those who remain, those" Voices of Solidarity "
National Stadium again filled with excitement, shouting and solidarity on the night of August 15. Already surprised to see the Colossus of José Díaz packed with over 40 thousand people united in favor of educating children of Ica, Chincha and Pisco.
We arrived at 8:20 to 1:00 West gallery crammed with people listening as Belanova Mexicans gave the last gasps of a light presentation. 10 minutes later found a pair of seats that allowed us to endure the nearly six-hour concert. Unfortunately we had already lost the G Man, who opened the concert, and overwhelmed me the trouble of not bringing a camera (criminal a photographer) to capture the spectacle that saw the Jose Diaz.
more comfortable Raúl Romero and who is not and who knows what started tinkering with his memorable "Magdalena" (Black, bold, black &%$&) and send their "Torres" the hall of memories (a concert in av. Brazil that I took my mother as a puppy). Song that disappeared at the end of the nineties by a warm position of the group against a government other abominable. The truth is that much of the public mistook his sarcastic attitude, essence of the group, with a rebellious attitude, which really lack.
while sipping a good sausage sandwich appeared Amaia Montero, leader of the Basque band "La Oreja de Van Gogh" (the shortest night and this paragraph).
David Bisbal, to my surprise, took over the reins of the concert. Even a "Hail Mary" to encourage the faithful of the place who paid homage to his "Buleria". So there was a time to sing a duet with Raphael endless. The powerful voice as both Raphael Eva Ayllón was the middle of the night. Both gave tribute to their origins. And is that "Whatever they say is Raphael" and "I told Dad I love you Eva Ayllón.
bones with almost destroyed by the chair I had sat listening hours as the popular "Casper" demonstrated the value of a Peru. The mixture of Andean rhythms (between Arequipa and Ayacucho) sung in Quechua and voiced by a charanguito was one of the highlights of the night. Then sorpedrendíó people to sing a duet with Alejandro Sanz "Corazón Partío."
Although I am not a fan of Alejandro Sanz have attended their last three concerts (not by him but by the good company) and empiricist way I can testify that the singer is most welcome that I have heard. God every time I went a closeup of her face in one of the four displays decorating the stadium was more about getting a hearing Standing by the howls of a pack of estrogenarias. That popularity was given the luxury of playing about an hour while the rest just 30 minutes. And although he was the only one who failed to properly use the gateway scenario, the presentation was undoubtedly the most celebrated, expected, and surprise of the night. To say that about half of the audience began to leave after your presentation.
Those who stayed were the warriors who wanted to see just a Fito Paez inspired. The stadium echoed with their "11 and 6" and "Butterfly teknicolor." And finally, who more than our Vétiz Pedrito Suarez, who closed the night with his "Balloons of Heaven ", who also served as presenter improvised by asking all the artists who go back up to say goodbye.
The only unpleasant for the evening was the poor job that was made for audio, who else was Pedro Suarez suffered at various times ran out of mic. For the next more carefully, because that is a benefit concert does not remove the responsibility to ensure these details. In the end, however, was another night of mixing between brotherly countries. Spain, Argentina and Mexico gave him a big hug to Peru. And can only hope that I raised a million dollars in a good way for children of Ica, Chincha and Pisco who were enjoying the show live on giant screens.
"We hope to be the same organizers who perform the work or through audits are aware of where the money is hard, because we witness the government's inefficiency in the distribution of aid."

Washoi! Washoi! The Matsuri is here to stay
Food, music, fashion and tradition came together last Saturday at the club AELU. Place where, for a couple of years, I usually attend the Matsuri held by the end of the Cultural Week of Japan since 1993.
On Saturday we at 8 pm at the Club, located in Pueblo Libre, in the rush of the late arrivals. Entry is usually free but this time it took us 2 soles, which will be used to help earthquake victims who suffer on 15 August. Went straight to the food stalls in search of a couple of Obento (taper with an assortment of delicacies Nipponese) to satisfy hunger. Because each year the number of people is increasing, Showa stalls or Sakura-clubs that are part of the partnership, was crowded.
Just then the parade was at its crucial point was the time that Toshiro Konishi (the popular "Achica Price") took over the festival. To the beat of Washoi Washoi dozen men walked into a packed stadium for hours, charging a small altar that leads Konishi years. Your ride accompanied by the beating of taiko (Japanese drums) Nees uproar at the site.
A couple of pairs of beers (Peruvian tradition) prepared us for the finale. Light poles were put out to warn us of the need to look to the sky in search of light. Red explosion started the Hanabis (fireworks). Thus ended this year's Matsuri, a Japanese village custom of sacred rituals derived from Shinto and is now becoming part Peruvian custom of family and social integration.
was a day of cultural mix, that we tend to fear and that, paradoxically, is the basis of our own history.
